On the 18th of May 2016 the Litoro Foundation went out to Bardale township for the official blanket drive handover. Simba, Emma and Sam teamed up with other UCT students to raise 100 blankets for the preschool children of Bardale. Some of the students who were involved had never been to a township before, which added an educational aspect to the experience. An additional aspect of the blanket drive was that all the money raised to purchase the blankets was in fact donated by students directly. The blanket drive showcased the generosity that is found within the youth of South Africa. A huge thanks must be given to all the students who accompanied Litoro Foundation. We are excited at the seeds that we have been sown with this group and look forward to many more exciting initiatives together.
